The redesign of a pocket city centre garden with feature garden room.

Client brief was to update and overhaul this mature but unplanned garden, working with a garden room, under-step shaded area, stairway, and to advise on new garden furniture. Starting with an intensive maintenance phase where established plants were cut back, shaped and replenished, the design phase included on-site client ideation conversations and a visit to a mid-Sussex large plants specialist nursery. After planting, the ongoing conversations have included advice on garden furniture selection and the repositioning of plants to suit environmental and lifestyle considerations.
